There are all sorts of holiday events happening in Tacoma, WA this year, and so we wanted to share a few of them with our apartment community. We suggest that you check out one or more of these wintertime celebrations for maximum holiday enjoyment!

Tacoma Holiday Market

This year, experience an open-air holiday market right here in Tacoma! These winter-themed markets originated in Germany and have been inviting holiday cheer to cities across the globe since as early as 1384. Usually, they are held in the most central location like a town square, and they are packed with local vendors who handmade decorations, warm food and drink, and other holiday items perfect for gift giving. All of the above will be present at the Tacoma Holiday Market, as well as Santa, who will be there for pictures! Don’t miss this event on December 9th from 11am to 4pm.

The Nutcracker Ballet

Have you enjoyed a live performance of The Nutcracker, Tchaikovsky’s world-renowned holiday ballet in any time during the past few holiday seasons? If not, maybe this year is the perfect chance to go. Support your local Tacoma City Ballet by inviting bringing the whole family to enjoy this inspiring production, filled with fantastic scenery, ornate costumes, riveting orchestral music, and of course, dancing. Running from December 15th to the 23rd, there are both matinee and evening performances. Get your tickets today before they sell out!

Have you ever wondered what 700,000 colored lights magically arranged to display an entire world of splendid 3D animals looks like? It looks exactly like Zoolights at Point Defiance Zoo!  Last year’s twinkling holiday display included a wide assortment of animals including sharks, polar bears, turtles, tigers, and even a giant octopus. This family-friendly holiday event is open from November 23, 2018 to January 6, 2019, and it is sure to have something for everyone.
