Ways to Cozy up your Home

Now that the weather is changing and becoming cooler, it can take a toll on your apartment. The warmth of summer will pass and your home might get a little colder, but you may not want to pile up the heat bill just yet, so we’ve gathered a few ways you can cozy up your home. In this week’s Westminster Towers Blog, we’ve got a few tips for staying perfectly toasty in your Tacoma, WA apartment!

Cozy Slippers

If the weather is cold, you’re likely to get cold feet first. We suggest getting some soft slippers to switch into from your traditional shoes. Slippers protect your feet from the cold floor as well as warm your feet up. Keep these slippers by the door so you can swap into them the moment you get home.

More Blankets

Whether you’re reading a book, watching a movie, or just trying to take a nap, having more blankets around your home will help you to keep warm. Consider investing in some warm blankets or even a Snuggie! Keep them on your couch or in a storage ottoman (if you have one) for easy access.

Throw Pillows and Cushions

When it comes to comfort, having extra pillows and cushions will certainly lend to that. Not only will you have something to lie on when you’re taking a nap, but they will also give you something to snuggle up to when you watch your favorite streaming service or beloved movie. Don’t go overboard by placing too many pillows and cushions that it restricts your range of movement. Just put enough that you can feel comfortable!

All these suggestions are meant to make your home more cozy with the changing weather. If you have any tips for us on how you’ve made your home more warm and welcoming, let our apartment community know by leaving a comment! Thanks for reading!
