Ways to Prepare for the Holidays

Friends watching a movie in a home full of December holiday decorations

December is around the corner, but you don’t need to wait until December to start preparing for the holiday season. Many people start their holiday preparation immediately after Thanksgiving, so we’ve got a few tips for you on how you can prepare for the upcoming jolly holidays in this week’s Westminster Towers Blog.

Get into the spirit of the season with some great music! Listening to holiday music in the car or even at home can get you ready for the holidays. Enjoy some classic songs like Silent Night, O Come, All Ye Faithful, and Jingle Bell Rock, or modern songs like Cold December Night by Michael Buble and You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch by Lindsey Stirling feat. Sabrina Carpenter.

There’s nothing like curling up on your couch to watch some Christmas-themed movies! Seeing plotlines revolving around the holidays can spark the nostalgia of the season. Relive old memories and make new ones by watching these movies with family and friends. Try watching some movies like Elf, The Polar Express, or Home Alone.

Since gift giving is such an essential part of the holidays, we suggest that you get a jump on your gift purchasing before the malls and stores get too crowded. Make a list of presents you wish to purchase for your friends and family so you have some direction when you head to the store; the less time you have to spend in the store, the better.

Nothing says the holiday season like treats! From hot chocolate to chocolate chip cookies, you can indulge on some sweet treats at home while avoiding the cold weather outside. Check out Country Living for some holiday treats you can make at your own Tacoma, WA apartment.
